About the role

Provide evidence-based therapeutic support to people impacted by domestic and family violence. Deliver quality psychosocial interventions aligned to the Cedar Health Service Model of Care, working with consumers, multidisciplinary teams and community partners to improve safety, wellbeing and recovery outcomes.

Key duties of the role

  • Deliver therapeutic counselling and group interventions to consumers affected by domestic and family violence
  • Assess and respond to risk and safety needs using appropriate safety planning approaches
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in line with organisational requirements
  • Work with internal teams and external agencies to support coordinated care and referral pathways
  • Contribute to service development, evaluation and quality improvement activities

Skills and Experience

  • Degree in Social Work with eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience supporting people impacted by domestic and family violence or complex trauma
  • Demonstrated ability to undertake risk assessment and informed clinical decision making
  • Strong communication skills within multidisciplinary and community settings
  • Experience delivering group programs or therapeutic education sessions
