About the Role:

As a Community Rehabilitation Worker, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver psychosocial support and rehabilitation activities that enable consumers to achieve their recovery goals. You will assist with daily living tasks, facilitate community access, and help consumers build social connections and independence as well as support the running of the main office.

In this role, you’ll bring excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with strong English language proficiency (both written and spoken). You’ll be confident in problem-solving, conflict resolution and negotiation - including having respectful, honest conversations when they’re tough.

You understand the difference between doing with and doing for and you see yourself as a lifelong learner. The ability to juggle multiple competing priorities, work in a complex and sometimes high-pressure environment and demonstrate resilience will be key to your success in this role.

Our Local Health Network Sites and Services:

Lyell McEwin Hospital The major hospital in the north and north-east for emergency care, complex and multi-day surgery, medicine, obstetrics, paediatrics and outpatient services.

Modbury Hospital A general hospital with emergency care, elective surgery, medicine, outpatient and sub-acute services, rehabilitation, geriatric and palliative care.

Mental Health - The Division of Mental Health provides a comprehensive range of public mental health services for youth, adults and older people in northern Adelaide. Services are provided through community health centres and hospitals, and to consumers in their own homes. 

Forensic Mental Health - A statewide service that operates for forensic patients and prisoners. 

Community Sites - Elizabeth GP Plus, Modbury GP Plus and Gilles Plains GP Plus Super Clinics providing community based care.
