About the role: 

Reporting to the Nursing Director, this role is responsible for the support of all Clinical Governance Unit activity within SALHN. These services contribute to the timely achievement of Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) service objectives. The Clinical Governance Unit Support Officer is accountable to the Director, Clinical Governance for the administration of significant projects of a sensitive, innovative, critical or complex nature

Duties for the role will include:

  • Responsible for a range of financial related functions within Clinical Governance, including the oversight and completion of work assignments and standard of work quality/delivery,
  • Maintain spreadsheets for monitoring performance of various types of Clinical Governance expenditures,
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and preparing for Clinical Governance meetings, conferences, and events,
  • Assisting in directing and project managing Business initiatives which are constructed to meet customer objectives,
  • Administration of significant projects of a sensitive, innovative, critical or complex nature. They have significant level of discipline knowledge, sound expertise and competence in the required areas and the ability to formulate, implement, monitor and evaluate projects and programs,
  • Quality administrative/project support,
  • Review report submissions to Clinical Governance Director to ensure all relevant information and details are included, are correct and have the relevant sign-off approvals

About you:

  • Proven ability to meet stringent deadlines and perform well under pressure and have sound knowledge of the functions and responsibilities of working in a CEO’s office,
  • Proven ability to recognise and discreetly deal with confidential matters; demonstrate integrity of the highest order and exercise diplomatic skills appropriate to sensitive and high-level issues,
  • Proven ability to work with a high degree of independence, determine priorities and anticipate the requirements of an Executive Team,
  • Experience in managing a range of clerical duties and tasks,
  • Proven experience in the provision of financial analysis, information and advice,
  • Experience in the creation and maintenance of financial budgets
