About the Role:
The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is seeking dedicated, compassionate, and resilient Clinical Nurses to join our Forensic Community Mental Health Service - a dynamic statewide service supporting consumers on forensic licence conditions through direct case management and specialist consultation.
In this pivotal role, you will work with consumers who have been declared not guilty by reason of mental impairment or unfit to plead by the South Australian court system and are now living in the community under licence conditions. You will deliver high‑quality mental health care within a rehabilitation and recovery framework, supporting individuals with complex needs as they work toward stability, independence, and reintegration.
The Clinical Nurse will work with consumers with a range of mental illness under a rehabilitation and recovery model of care and use their skills and knowledge to work within a multi-disciplinary team and provide consultation, liaison, and advocacy services to a variety of stakeholders including other mental health services across all LHN’s, the courts, Department of Corrections, SA Police (SAPOL) and a variety of non-government organisations (NGO’s).
You will have the opportunity to make a profound difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals, fostering their recovery and promoting their successful reintegration into the community. You will work closely with clients, their families and other key stakeholders, ensuring continuity of care and advocating for their best interests.
To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Must be enrolled in an approved Mental Health course or holds a qualification in mental health practice.
