About the Role

Step into a leadership role at Port Lincoln Hospital as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager on Eyre Ward B. You’ll play a key role in shaping patient care, guiding staff, and supporting daily ward operations in a dynamic, supportive environment.

We offer flexible part-time options: a temporary role until July 2027 (24 hrs/week) or an ongoing part-time role (16 hrs/week). This is your opportunity to make a real impact, develop your leadership skills, and contribute to high-quality, patient-centred care in a regional healthcare hub.

Eyre Ward B provides proficient, person-centred nursing care, overseeing patient care plans, facilitating continuity of care, and supporting patient flow. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team, working with nursing staff, allied health, medical practitioners, and the broader Eyre and Far North Local Health Network.

How Will You Contribute?

  • Provide shift-by-shift leadership and support to nursing/midwifery staff in the ward
  • Assist in ward management, including rostering, performance management, recruitment, and service planning
  • Mentor and support staff and students, promoting a culture of learning and professional development
  • Contribute to quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and patient care coordination across the ward
