About the role: 

  • Lead clinical trials in haematology, contributing to ground breaking research that transforms patient outcomes
  • Provide direct patient care through outpatient clinics and inpatient duties, working alongside experienced haematology consultants
  • Perform and report bone marrow procedures while interpreting complex laboratory results for patient diagnosis and management
  • Contribute to scientific publications and present research findings at national and international conferences
  • Supervise and teach junior medical staff while participating in comprehensive professional development programmes

About you:

  • Medical Qualifications (MBBS or equivalent) which is recognised by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and completed training with FRACP/FRCPA or FRACP only (or international equivalent) for Haematology. 
  • Proven pro-active approach to heavy workloads
  • Demonstrated experience in basic laboratory, translational and clinical research
  • Ability to adapt to changing environment/procedures whilst retaining positive outlook
  • Proven experience in delivering high quality and safe care consistent with the National Safety and Quality Health Care Service Standards.
