The Research Project Coordinator supports the overall development of research project(s). Assists with project design, management, and implementation. Medical Billing Coder - UMC Billing Office - 530355
The Medical Billing Coder provides timely and accurate processing of multi-specialty physician office visits, I/P and surgical hospital visits, and procedural coding in an academic environment. Reviews and corrects charges submitted from the clinic and hospital electronic health record using CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 and insurance payer standards. Follows-up with accounts receivable on unpaid insurance claims. Corrects denials and audit trails. Responds to patient statement inquiries.
Medical Insurance Clerk I - UMC Billing Office - 530356
The Medical Insurance Clerk I processes insurance claims submitted for reimbursement. Communicates with insurance carriers and patients on coverage and payment requirements to facilitate timely reimbursement on outstanding claims. Completes daily review, posting, and reconciliation of various reimbursements from insurances carriers and/or patients. Scans EOB documents. Reviews and posts unapplied payments for proper allocation. Assists with the processing of refunds to patients and/or payors.
Venue Systems Engineer I - 530357
The Venue Systems Engineer I designs, integrates, configures, and maintains the venue technology and live event production systems deployed across athletic venues, control rooms, press facilities, event spaces, and departmental facilities under general supervision. Engineers and optimizes systems for production audio, video and IPTV distribution, RF transport, digital signage, and broadcast integration. Coordinates the design, configuration, commissioning, and lifecycle management of new venue technologies. Ensures reliable, high-availability performance during live athletic events, television productions, and facility rentals. Maintains production audio routing and synchronization. Manages IP-based media transport and distribution systems. Troubleshoots complex AV systems within a converged network infrastructure in collaboration with network engineering staff.
