Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm


Job Summary: The Nursing Simulation Lab Technician provides support and maintenance services for low-, medium-, and high-fidelity human patient simulators. Works with human patient simulator and medical device vendors and manufacturers. Manages and supports the video recording and archiving system in the Simulation Center for Clinical Excellence.


Additional Department Summary: Provides technical setup, operation, maintenance, and support of simulation equipment used in nursing education. Ensures high-quality simulation experiences by coordinating technology, audiovisual systems, and simulation environments that align with learning objectives. Works collaboratively with faculty, simulation leadership, and student employees to deliver immersive and realistic training for healthcare simulation.


Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of nursing simulation device support experience; OR associate's degree or higher and some nursing simulation device support experience.


Skills and Knowledge: Competency with computers and AV equipment. Ability to learn simulation software quickly. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with faculty and students.


Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a health‑related or technical field. Experience with simulation technologies. Familiarity with AV capture/playback systems. Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist (CHSOS) Certification or willingness to obtain within three (3) years of employment.
