Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; occasional evening/weekend hours as needed


Job Summary: The Medical Revenue Cycle Supervisor oversees daily accounts receivable payment posting activity for insurance and patient payments within the health record system for the College of Community Health Sciences (CCHS), Capstone Health Services Foundation (CHSF), and affiliated clinical operations. Prepares or reviews reports related to payment posting, cash management, deposit activity, and receivable trends. Validates payroll-related activity, earnings adjustments, and payroll corrections. Develops and maintains internal controls over receivable, payable, deposit, payment posting, vendor setup, customer setup, and payroll support functions. Directly supervises and delegates work to insurance financial support staff.


Additional Department Summary: Supervises and coordinates the daily financial and revenue cycle support operations for large multi-specialty medical practice.


Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED and eight (8) years of medical insurance experience; OR associate's degree and six (6) years of medical insurance experience; OR bachelor's degree and four (4) years of medical insurance experience; OR master's degree and some medical insurance experience.


Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle support functions, medical payment posting, accounts receivable, deposit processing, and cash management. Knowledge of basic accounting principles, accounts payable, vendor documentation, customer invoicing, and payroll support processes. Knowledge of PCI compliance principles, internal control concepts, segregation of duties, and record retention practices. Ability to supervise, train, coach, and evaluate assigned staff in a professional financial operations environment. Ability to review financial transactions for accuracy, completeness, documentation, compliance, and timeliness. Ability to prepare and interpret routine financial reports related to payment posting, receivables, deposits, and cash management. Strong attention to detail, analytical ability, organizational skills, and professional communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, financial systems, electronic health record systems, payroll support tools, and document management processes.


Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a multi-specialty clinic, academic medical center, physician practice, or healthcare financial services environment. Experience with EHR-based payment posting and healthcare cash management reporting. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, Payroll calculations and processing. Experience with Accounts Payable Functions, Vendor Setup, Banking, ACH payments.
