The Digital Services Student Assistant will image a variety of rare and unique Special Collections materials, following digitization and metadata standards; work with physical collections, use a variety of imaging hardware to scan items, and save files in standard formats for storage and display. The student assistant will arrange and describe archival materials in preparation for digitization, and record descriptive metadata for processed and unprocessed materials. Position duties include preparation of materials, digitization, and quality control based on professional standards. All work will be supervised by University Libraries Special Collections staff.

This role provides high-quality customer service while supporting residents and families. Answers incoming healthcare calls and transfer them to the appropriate unit. Receives visitors, ensures proper sign-in procedures, and assists residents’ families and friends with directions to healthcare units. Relays route information accurately and promptly. Distributes resident, business, and inner-office mail and packages. Collaborates with the Independent Living Concierge to schedule healthcare residents’ medical appointments.
