| This full-time (40 hours per week. 1.0 FTE) position will coordinate clinical research activities for a study on low back pain in horticulture workers funded through the NIOSH Southeastern Coastal Center for Agricultural Health and Safety. This $1.2M research project includes multiple data collection sites in Florida. It will be the responsibility of the coordinator in this position to work with owners and supervisors of businesses as well as participants at each of these locations.
Roles and responsibilities for the individual in this position include participant recruitment, data collection, data processing, and general administrative and logistical support. Additionally, the clinical research coordinator will assist with scheduling and working with other members of the research team including lab assistants and volunteers as appropriate. This position requires a high level of flexibility, forward planning, problem solving, and ability to coordinate multiple priorities, with the expectation that the individual functions independently to complete all assigned clinical research activities with general oversight by the Principal Investigator (PI).
Travel to field research sites, including working outdoors at nurseries and landscaping centers is required. Travel locations may include the Gainesville area, Jacksonville, Orlando, Palm Coast, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and Tampa regions.
