| Join a team that builds the future of UF/IFAS facilities across the entire state of Florida. As a Construction Project Manager II, you’ll take the lead on planning, coordinating, and delivering construction, renovation, and infrastructure projects that directly support UF’s statewide teaching, research, and extension mission. This role manages a diverse portfolio of projects — from deferred‑maintenance and capital improvements to utility infrastructure upgrades — spanning multiple UF/IFAS locations and funding sources.
You’ll identify facility needs, develop project scopes, coordinate design professionals, oversee construction activities, and ensure smooth close‑out and warranty follow‑up. You’ll also analyze existing facilities to reduce deferred‑maintenance backlogs, recommend policy and procedural improvements, and provide technical leadership to other project managers. Collaboration with UF Planning, Design & Construction on major projects is a key part of the role, along with statewide travel to UF/IFAS sites.
And here’s the part candidates love: UF offers one of the strongest benefits packages in the state. State health insurance family plan for $180/month — an exceptional value rarely matched in higher education or the private sector. This position will serve the following regions in Northwest Florida: Jay, Timpoochee, Marianna, Quincy, Cherry Lake, Live Oak, Hastings, and limited Campus responsibilities. While an offsite work location, there will be limited requirements to report to the office in Gainesville. |
