| The Biomedical Informatics and Data Science Division (BIDS), hosted within the Department of Health Outcomes and Biomedical Informatics (HOBI) and closely affiliated with the Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), engages in a wide variety of informatics research and service across the University of Florida. Service initiatives include building out the informatics infrastructure for the CTSI, the OneFlorida+ Research Network, the University of Florida Health Cancer Institute (UFHCI) among others. BMI is responsible for building out and maintaining the software, infrastructure, and data management processes required to support all of these entities.
This position will serve as an Application Programmer II and will work in collaboration with technical leadership to fulfill the research and service missions of the BMI program, and in support of the Cancer Informatics Shared Resources program, supported by the UFHCI. In particular, the incumbent will be primarily responsible for web application and digital health application (e.g., mobile apps) development. The incumbent will participate in both the development of these digital health applications, and the development of the data collection processes from these applications. The incumbent will also participate in other development work, especially those related to data and research infrastructure. In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for the analysis and project reporting through data summarization and visualization, as well as contributions to analysis, modeling and interpretation of results. The incumbent will work closely with project teams and stakeholders to develop tools and processes for effective data management and analysis, metrics collection and reporting, and dissemination of required information to program leadership and stakeholders. |
