Visiting Assistant Professor of Classics

Kenyon College, a highly selective liberal arts college in central Ohio, invites applications for a two-year visiting assistant professor position in the Department of Classics, effective July 2025.

Teaching responsibilities consist of five courses per year. Candidates must be qualified to teach both Greek and Latin at various levels. In addition, we seek a colleague with a strong interest in teaching our established courses in translation, possibly including courses on classical mythology or ancient history, as well as a special topic course of the candidate’s own devising. Applicants must be committed to excellence in teaching and to creating a classroom environment in which students from a variety of backgrounds can flourish. A Ph.D. in hand is preferred.
