Job Duties

• Draft design/drawings and prepare design calculations in consultation with supervisor
• Prepare sketches and coordinate with draftsman to produce engineering sketches, overlays, powerpoint presentations, etc.
• Submit temp works drawings and calculations for subsequent internal/external approvals and finalization
• Address reviewers / approval authority comments on design submissions and resolve queries
• Act as temporary works designer (TWD) as described in the procedure for “Design and Control of Temporary Works” for design deliverables commensurate with own design competencies
• Liaise with the Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) and Responsible Site Person (RSP) for the design of temporary works
• Support to seniors for preparation of tender technical submissions including tender design drawings and technical submission writeups, quantification, coordination with drafting & BIM staff
• Review all drawings/modelling for adherence with CAD/BIM standards and Leighton operating procedures
• Proactively seek to optimise temporary works solutions, by eliminating risks during construction, maximising temporary works reuse, ensuring practical constructability and seeking the most economical solution
• Assist in other ad-hoc assignment

Job Requirements

• Degree holder in Structural / Civil / Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline
• At least 3 years' design experience, previous contractor experience is preferred
• Knowledge and Experience of temporary works design
• Able to handle multi-tasks under pressure and deadline
• Proficient in / propensity to learn Plaxis, FREW, SAP2000, AdSec, Sketchup, CAD/Revit
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese
