Lead Degree Analyst
About This Role
The College of Agriculture at Kansas State University seeks a detail-oriented Lead degree Analyst to support the Academic Services unit in the provision of accurate, effective, and efficient student services and data management while ensuring adherence to university policies and procedures. In addition, this position will act as first point of contact for undergraduate students and provide vital back-up support to ensure that business processes are minimally impacted in periods of high-demand and/or when others are absent.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the operational support and administration of course & curriculum (Curriculog) proposals.
- Serve as the College of Agriculture’s Curriculog Agenda Administrator: oversee approval/voting process and initial review of proposals, coordinate approvals, generate and distribute agendas for college and university committees, track and report current and past reviews.
- Support course & curriculum workflow and the implementation/maintenance of internal processes; Create/maintain guidelines, procedural, and training documentation for college users.
- Review new proposals for completeness/accuracy and monitor the progress of proposals through the approval process.
- May occasionally work with other colleges and faculty senate administration to coordinate custom workflow for interdisciplinary proposals.
- Attend university-wide course & curriculum (Curriculog) meetings, take notes, and update college/department staff/administration accordingly.
- Collaborate with Course & Curriculum chair and Academic Asst. Dean to identify processing deadlines each term and schedule meetings accordingly.
- Act as first point-of-contact for College of Agriculture course & curriculum (Curriculog) support.
- Act as College of Agriculture liaison in communications/meetings with central administration.
- Responsible for the creation, management, and maintenance of College of Agriculture articulations agreements and College of Agriculture transfer guides.
- Utilize the university’s transfer evaluation system and transfer course database to maintain course equivalencies and track transfer credit decisions.
- Analyze incoming transcripts from external academic institutions to determine course transferability and collaborate with the Degree Analyst to ensure accurate credit applications on student’s degree audits.
- Process monthly transfer evaluation reports for both incoming and continuing undergraduates and utilize knowledge of degree requirements, along with department/college/university/KBOR policies, to update students’ degree audits accordingly.
- Process College of Agriculture Graduation Checks each term.
- Audit students’ academic progress towards degree and compare to degree program requirements.
- Under the direction of the Asst. Director of Academic Services Operations, provide backup for general Student Records support (advisor assignments, Program/Plan and late enrollment processing, monitoring the agrecords email and responding to general inquiries, as well as other responsibilities, as needed).

What You'll Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor's degree and four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Microsoft Office

3-5 years of experience working in student records and/or student services at an institution of higher learning

Experience with Student Information Systems and technology platforms (eg. Curriculog, KSIS, DARS ,Navigate, Slate, etc.) and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerBI and Outlook)

Ability to correctly interpret, apply, and implement policies and procedures

Strong analytical/critical thinking and problem-solving skills
