Position Summary:
This Facilities Services Student Assistant 2 will perform administrative office type service functions for any department within Facilities Services.

We are seeking detail-oriented and skilled individuals with a solid foundation in computer operations and a strong ability to exercise independent judgment. The ideal candidate will excel in delivering exceptional customer service, demonstrating proficiency in both verbal and written communication. They should possess a courteous demeanor and be adept at establishing and maintaining positive relationships within a team environment. Following instructions accurately and effectively, along with demonstrating proficiency in basic office equipment operation, are essential. This role requires a commitment to accuracy, efficient task completion, and meticulous tracking and filing of information. Punctuality and consistent attendance are also paramount.
Minimum Qualifications:
To be eligible for Facilities Services student employment, an applicant must: Be enrolled at UAF with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment; or have been enrolled the preceding semester for six or more credit hours and demonstrate plans to enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester for employment between semesters; and have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA, or a newly enrolled student.
Any combination of education and experience which clearly demonstrates the skills and abilities necessary to accomplish the essential functions of the job (see knowledge, skills, and abilities required above.)
Current valid Driver License and clean driving record in compliance with UA Safe Driving Criteria can be helpful.
Position Details:
This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year. Starting pay is $16.15/hour.
