The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) Goose Lake Campus is located in Anchorage, Alaska. The attractive wooded campus, at the foot of the Chugach Mountains, serves as a cultural hub for the city. The School of Preventive and Therapeutic Sciences offers Occupational Endorsement Certificates, Undergraduate Certificates, Associate of Applied Science degrees, and Bachelor degrees.
Consultant positions are on a semester-by-semester contract basis. Successful acceptance into the pool does not guarantee an offer of a contract.
The successful incumbent will help train the Dental Assistant students to help work on patients. The scope of training includes oral examinations, reviewing dental x-rays, fillings, extractions, root canals, bridges, crowns, and dental appliances.
Must have the necessary skills to perform the work of a dentist and the ability to work under the Dental Faculty guidelines to improve dental assisting training to the students enrolled in the program with substantial experience working as a Licensed Dentist in the State of Alaska.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a Licensed Dentist in the State of Alaska. Must hold current CPR certification.
Position Details:
This position is located on the Goose Lake campus in Anchorage, AK. This is a part-time, temporary, staff position. Compensation for this position is $75 per hour.
This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.
