About You
Treasury is seeking a Finance Officer to join our Government Finance and Accounting Branch. In this role, you will provide accounts receivable, accounts payable and administrative services that support the Department's financial and accounting operations.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a broad range of financial activities, including processing financial transactions, undertaking reconciliations, responding to client enquiries and supporting the delivery of high-quality financial services.
You will be a motivated and organised professional with strong attention to detail, sound communication skills and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. You can prioritise competing tasks, work effectively with others and apply judgement and initiative to resolve operational issues.
This role will suit someone who enjoys varied work, values accuracy and collaboration, and is keen to develop their skills and experience in a public sector finance environment.

About the Branch
The Government Finance and Accounting Branch monitors and reports on finances at both an agency and whole-of-government level and develops and implements financial management policy advice for the General Government Sector.
Hours per fortnight
Up to 73.5 - hours flexible - talk to us about how this could work for you. We are open to considering a range of flexible work options including part time hours.
Period of Appointment
This is a fixed term appointment for a period of up to 12 months.
Desirable Requirements
A relevant qualification or equivalent experience.
