Laboratory Instrumentation Specialist - Chemistry (College of Liberal Arts and Sciences) Allendale
The Chemistry Laboratory Instrumentation Specialist is responsible for the maintenance and operation of instrumentation in the Department of Chemistry on the Allendale campus of Grand Valley State University (GVSU), focusing in the areas of mass spectrometry and/or nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), as well as optical spectroscopy and gas and liquid chromatography; other instrumentation will vary as needed by the department. Additional responsibilities include the scheduling of instrument time and training of other faculty, staff, and student scientists on these instruments. The Chemistry Laboratory Instrumentation Specialist contributes to the vibrant research, teaching and interdisciplinary collaboration atmosphere of the department.
COVID Assessment Team Nurse - Office of the Vice Provost for Health Grand Rapids
Grand Valley State University’s Office of the Vice Provost for Health is accepting applications for a registered nurse to serve as a lead on COVID contact tracing and related projects. This individual will serve as a member of the COVID Assessment Team. As part of the COVID Assessment Team, this position will assist with administrative processes related to contacting individuals who have submitted a COVID-19 self-assessment with a positive response. This is a full time, 12-month administrative professional position.
RN Care Manager - Family Health Center Grand Rapids
GVSU’s Kirkhof College of Nursing seeks part-time RN for a two-year Michigan Health Endowment Fund grant. Minimum qualifications: Current, active and unrestricted Michigan Registered Nurse license, Bachelor’s degree in nursing, certification in Case Management preferred or to be obtained within 12 months of hire, minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience. Preferred qualifications: Certification in Case Management preferred or to be obtained within 12 months of hire, experience working with interdisciplinary teams and/or in integrated care (to include nursing, medicine, social work, and community health worker), experience working in a primary care setting or community setting, minimum 1 year of care management experience. Responsibilities include: Lead the coordination of a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care to meet patient needs. Required qualifications: Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Preferred qualifications: DNP degree, experience working with interdisciplinary teams and/or in integrated care (to include nursing, medicine, social work, and community health worker), experience delivering care via telehealth platform, experience working in a primary care setting. Responsibilities include: providing innovative leadership in the development of the proposed care delivery model, and contributing to the achievement of proposed grant outcomes, provide patient psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis and treatment plans in accordance with statutes, regulations and protocols regulating the profession and in collaboration with overseeing psychiatrist.

HRSA - NEPQR:BHI Grant: Community Health Worker - Kirkhof College of Nursing Grand Rapids
The NEPQR Community Health Worker will be an integral part of a 3-year HRSA: NEPQR-BHI grant team, assisting with patient care and services coordination in collaboration with the mental health team and supervising psychiatrist. They will assist patients in navigating health and human services such as transportation and food. They will provide after-hours support for residents with mental health crises.
