Director of Annual Giving - University Development Grand Rapids
The Director of Annual Giving will lead and oversee a comprehensive annual giving program. The Director will help determine strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit, and acknowledge annual giving donors and prospects including alumni, parents, students, current and past employees, and community leaders. A component of the Director’s work will be cultivation and stewardship of a select portfolio of annual giving prospects. The Director will also oversee the scope of outreach and communications via a variety of vehicles for the Annual Giving program. This position requires a bachelor’s degree and five years’ minimum experience in fundraising preferably in higher education or a hospital setting.

Secretary - Psychology (College of Liberal Arts and Sciences) Allendale
The candidate hired for this position must be able to fulfill duties associated with an office in a large academic department. The Psychology Department has 41 full time faculty, along with affiliate, visiting, and adjunct faculty. We serve approximately 1000 psychology majors, almost 300 behavioral neuroscience majors, and 700 psychology minors. The candidate must have enough technical proficiency with software programs to be willing and able to learn new programs if they are not known (Qualtrics, Adobe Acrobat), and programs specific to GVSU. The candidate also must be able to work in an environment that is busy at times, and in which interruptions can be common.
Adjunct Assistant Rowing Coach - Campus Recreation Allendale

Affiliate Faculty of Instruction - Writing (College of Liberal Arts and Sciences) Allendale
Affiliate Faculty of Writing. The Department of Writing at Grand Valley State University seeks to fill a full-time (9-month), non-tenure track Affiliate Faculty position beginning August 6, 2020. No scholarship expectations or service obligations. An M.A., M.S. or M.F.A. in English, Rhetoric/Composition, or Writing is required by time of employment. Candidates need to have expertise and experience in teaching college composition. Candidates must also have experience teaching writing in a computer lab. Preferred qualifications include graduate coursework in rhetoric and composition, or its professional equivalent. The typical full-time (9-month) teaching load is 12-credit hours per semester, drawn from GVSU's general education composition courses. The position is not tenure-track. Individuals will be appointed for one academic year on a full-time basis. This may be renewed once for an additional academic year. Thereafter, such individuals may be appointed for three (3) consecutive academic years. The ideal candidates will focus their careers on teaching general education writing courses and on continuously developing their professional expertise as writing teachers. Program Coordinator - MI-SBDC West Michigan Region Grand Rapids
The Michigan Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Grand Valley State University is seeking a full time Program Coordinator for its West Michigan Regional Team to help small businesses launch, grow, transition and innovate. Primary responsibilities include: manage intake and triage process for client services, provide direct business consultation for start-up and emerging companies, oversee development and delivery of SBDC training programs, support business consultants efforts in building and serving client portfolios, manage CRM system for client attribution, establish and maintain knowledge of business support services, promote the services of the SBDC, and support statewide initiatives.
