The role
You’ll be part of the Environmental Management Group’s Sustainability team, delivering innovative projects that support NSW Government goals on Net Zero, circular economy and sustainable development. From solar PV and energy efficiency upgrades to cutting-edge waste and water initiatives, you’ll use your sustainability expertise to lead and coordinate programs with internal and external partners across government assets.
You’ll also be responsible for implementing best practice processes, stakeholder engagement and reporting on sustainability performance. This is an exciting opportunity to be hands-on in building the infrastructure and tools that make sustainability real and measurable in the public sector.

What you will bring to the role
- Demonstrated experience managing sustainability programs, with strong technical knowledge of energy, waste and water efficiency projects.
- High-level skills in stakeholder engagement and the ability to manage consultants, contractors and suppliers to deliver results on time and budget.
- A sound understanding of NSW Government sustainability policies and rating systems such as NABERS and Green Star.
What is an essential requirement
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering – mechanical or sustainability
- Green Star Accredited Professional – Buildings, Interiors/Fitouts, Communities
- Certified NABERS Assessor – Energy, Water, Waste and Indoor Environment for Offices, Schools and Energy Performance Indicator
- Climate Active registered consultant – Organisation
