About the role
The Conservation Planning and Offsets Division is seeking a Data Analyst to manage and report on spatial and non-spatial data for internal and external stakeholders. You will work across the division to deliver innovative spatial data products and reporting that support the Biodiversity Offsets Scheme and improve conservation outcomes in NSW.
About You
You are motivated by the opportunity to apply your data analytical skills to contribute to the Biodiversity Offsets Scheme. As a Data Analyst, you will:
- Play a key role in supporting evidence-based decision-making by developing, maintaining and reporting on the spatial and non-spatial data that underpins our systems.
- Bring curiosity and rigour to providing technical expertise for the design and implementation of reporting systems.
- Ensure data is accurate, accessible and fit for purpose.
- Present complex information in a clear and useful form.
- Bring a project management approach to your work, planning and prioritising tasks, managing timelines and dependencies, and delivering outcomes on time and to a high standard.
- Work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to assist in developing and implementing the data governance processes that promote consistent, strategic and effective projects.
Key knowledge and experience
- Sound demonstrated knowledge of the operational and strategic requirements for the successful delivery of programs in the context of current policy and legislative frameworks.
