About the role
The Biodiversity and Heritage Regulator is seeking a Program Support Officer Early Change Monitoring to assist in the delivery of land and vegetation monitoring programs and projects by providing geographical information systems (GIS) skills and engaging with internal and external stakeholders where required.
Working within a collaborative team, you will provide high-quality administrative, project coordination and analytical support to assist with the planning, implementation and reporting of conservation initiatives. You'll contribute to program governance, prepare reports and briefing materials, coordinate meetings and documentation, and help monitor program performance.
About You
As a Program Support Officer Early Change Monitoring, you will be adept at providing administrative and coordination support and have demonstrated ability to deliver program outcomes and project support activities in line with agreed standards and objectives, given tight deadlines and competing demands and priorities. Work collaboratively with regional compliance teams to support effective and innovative compliance approaches to deliver conservation outcomes.
Key knowledge and experience
- Experience in aerial photo interpretation, remote sensing, and use of ArcGIS programs such as ArcGIS Pro.
- Experience in undertaking environmental assessments
- Experience in managing stakeholder expectations and resolving conflict
Essential Requirements
- Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel
