The Social Sciences Department, housed in the School of Informatics, Humanities, and Social Sciences, offers undergraduate degree programs in Political Science, Criminal Justice, Economics, and History, and a graduate degree in Cyber Investigations and Intelligence. In addition, the department teaches social science courses as part of the University core curriculum. The department strongly fosters collegiality and values collaboration.
The School of Informatics, Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor of Political Science beginning in the 2022-23 academic year, with 9-month appointments. The Political Science program at Robert Morris University provides undergraduate majors with coursework in American Politics, Comparative Political Systems, Law, and local and state politics, and is highly committed to excellent student-centric teaching.
A research-based terminal degree conferred by June 1, 2022 from an accredited institution in Political Science. Preference will be given to applicants with specializations in International Relations or Comparative Politics. Candidates must provide evidence of excellent teaching as well as a clear, strong research agenda or records of publication. Candidates with experience in teaching research methods are highly encouraged, as well as those with proven experience in grant writing. Qualified applicants must submit a letter of interest, current vita and list of three academic and/or professional references. The anticipated start date in Fall 2022.
