In addition to program leadership, the Director provides professional guidance and supervision to a team of four full-time staff. They provide oversight and lead the scheduling of several athletic and recreational facilities across campus. Essential to this role is the coordination of professional and student staff training and development initiatives, fostering an environment where student staff can acquire transferable life and career skills through their involvement with Campus Recreation. As a leader and role model within the organization, the Director is instrumental in providing leadership development and skills training for student staff, nurturing their growth and development. This leadership role focuses on recruitment and retention of club sport athletes, supports student wellness, and contributes to creating a vibrant student experience. The coordinator plays a pivotal role in establishing a collaborative culture within the four functional areas in the multipurpose service department.
