Are you a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with exceptional administrative skills? Lehigh University is seeking a dynamic and proactive Coordinator to provide comprehensive support to the Graduate Program in Materials Science and Engineering (MS&E) Department and the Polymer Science and Engineering (PS&E) Programs.

In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the Department Chair, Graduate Program Director, and PSE Program Directors, playing a crucial part in admissions, event planning, graduate student support, and programmatic operations.

Position Number: S77740

This position is a Grade: 8 - 37.5 with an approximate salary range of $43,940-$52,740 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Serve as point of contact for all applicants to the MSE and PSE graduate programs; notifies applicants of application status, missing application documents, and answers all applicant questions throughout the application process for Spring, Summer, and Fall admissions terms
• Prepare application review documents and application summary spreadsheets for MSE faculty and PSE Program Director for admissions review; present admissions and new applicant data to the MSE faculty and MSE Graduate Committee for their review
• Gathers financial information from MSE faculty needed for graduate student financial support, including the type of graduate student appointment, the length of appointment, the appointment stipend, and the university Index that will fund the appointment
• Coordinate MSE Department Seminar events, including developing and posting semester seminar schedule; sending invitations to speakers, confirming date of seminars, requesting seminar talk details, provide travel information and recommendations, make hotel accommodations for speaker, develop seminar advertisements, initiate seminar speaker meeting schedule, create event on Lehigh Events calendar, create Constant Contact (CC) campaign and submit campaign to CC Survey Scheduler, finalize and convey meeting schedule, make food arrangements, set up and clean up food from seminar event, track student attendance, and follow up with speaker and coordinate reimbursement for travel expenses after event
• Collaborates with the RCEAS Dean's office and MSE Graduate Committee marketing team to maintain the graduate program website

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Administrative, a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Three to five years of related work experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
