Are you a seasoned digital strategist with a passion for content and storytelling? Lehigh University is seeking an innovative and dynamic Executive Director, Content Distribution to lead our Content Distribution efforts within the Communications & Public Affairs (UCPA) department.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for owning and driving the interconnection between UCPA-owned channels, ensuring the effective delivery of content and storytelling across various digital and print platforms. As the Executive Director, Content Distribution, you will mentor, support, and oversee the work of the Content Distribution unit, collaborating closely with the AVP Content and the Executive Director, Content Creation.

This position is a Grade: 12 - 40 with an approximate salary range of $103,300-$125,660 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee a team of web developers, channel strategists and systems thinkers. Lead with humility, curiosity, and transparency.
• Work collaboratively with the Executive Director, Content Creation to integrate content creation and distribution, centering audience needs and experiences.
• Lead cross-campus collaboration to align communication platforms and strategies, reduce redundancy, foster innovation and amplify the university's strategic messaging while driving the adoption of best practices for system integration and streamlined workflows.
• Execute the content distribution component of the content strategy set by the AVP of Content for content distribution for Lehigh and align that vision with communicators across the University.
• Champion the creation of a unified, data-driven communications ecosystem by integrating and consolidating tools, processes, and platforms across web, email, applications and other channels to enhance university-wide efficiency, alignment and engagement. • Evaluate the existing system architecture and ensure interoperability with maximum efficiency and alignment with the university’s strategic goals and audience needs.
Key Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications and/or Web Development, a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Eight or more years of related work experience
• Related work experience within a marketing, communication, and/or web development organization required
• Solid understanding of client-server web hosting, enterprise SaaS platforms, open source systems (Drupal) and content syndication
• Expertise in modern web development, production workflow and back-end operations management (DevOps)
• Experience using Google Analytics, Data Studio (Looker Studio)
• Experience preparing and monitoring departmental budgets and managing service provider contracts
• Experience creating the distribution and channel strategy or integrated marketing campaigns
• Experience with audience segmentation and evaluation
• Understanding of social media platforms, digital advertising platforms and integrated digital campaigns
• Ability to identify resources and tools to support technical infrastructure and architecture
• Ability to create performance frameworks and optimize campaigns according to real time performance
• Ability to work across a large, matrixed organization and create a sense of community and belonging
• Ability to translate mission into departmental goals
• Deep management experience, ability to give and receive feedback and maintain a culture of transparency
