As an Associate Coach, Men's Basketball, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the mission of the University and Department of Athletics. Your responsibilities will encompass coaching a specific segment/unit of the team, student-athlete development (including academic support), student-athlete recruitment, program administration, and program advancement. Additionally, you will take on a leadership role among the basketball staff, guiding student-athletes' development off the court, nurturing their social, leadership, mental, and physical growth.

This position is a Grade: 10 - 40 with an approximate salary range of $66,270-$80,620 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide holistic support to student-athletes through counseling, advising, motivation, and discipline to promote personal and academic success.
• Foster character development, team building, and long-term retention through ongoing education, evaluation, and inspiration.
• Support all aspects of team preparation by helping plan practices, training sessions, and competitive strategies.
• Provide hands-on instruction and demonstration of techniques and skills.
• Contribute to strategy refinement and performance evaluation through ongoing communication and assessment.
• Assist in the full recruitment cycle by identifying, evaluating, and selecting prospective student-athletes while promoting Lehigh to prospects and families.
• Support coordinated recruitment strategies with a focus on yielding diverse, high-quality candidates.
• Support program operations by helping plan, evaluate, and manage budgets, staff, and schedules while ensuring compliance with NCAA, league, and institutional rules.
• Contribute to personnel decisions, tournament planning, and administrative coordination with attention to diversity and institutional priorities.
• Leverage technology and communication tools to enhance efficiency, fulfill administrative requests, and maintain accurate program information.
• Support program advancement by fostering positive relationships with alumni, parents, media, and professional networks, while contributing to outreach efforts like newsletters and events.
• Contribute to team success by supporting competitive performance, academic achievement, graduation outcomes, personal development, and recognition of student-athletes.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree preferred
• Five to eight years work related experience
• Experience as a student-athlete
• NCAA Certification required
• CPR/First Aid required
