Lehigh University, a prestigious institution renowned for academic excellence, is seeking a dynamic and driven Assistant Director to join its esteemed Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) team. This Exempt Staff Full-time position offers an unparalleled opportunity to shape the future of marketing strategies within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Position Number: S98300

This position is a Grade: 8 - 40 with an approximate salary range of $46,870 - $56,250 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.

As the Assistant Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of the DAR Marketing and Communications Team. With your exceptional attention to detail and people-savvy approach, you will spearhead a wide range of marketing projects, from strategy development to project management across content and design teams.

Key Responsibilities:
• Drive marketing strategy at planning meetings
• Understand DAR marketing channels, team capacity, and delivery timelines as well as industry marketing standards and creative ideation
• Share marketing projects across teams and track progress through implementation
• Liaison with business leads throughout project lifecycle
• Draft language for marketing tactic
• Serve as liaison for deliverables between MarCom and requestors
• Assist team with project support as needed

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Communications or Marketing, a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Five to eight years of related work experience
• Experience in advertising, communications, marketing or PR, preferably at an educational institution
• Experience in a communications field with project management experience
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Familiarity with smartsheet, airtable, workfront, imodules, and drupal
• Outgoing and engaging personality, a sense of humor, strong work ethic, and the desire and ability to take the initiative in exploring new strategies DAR should consider
• Willingness to meet the varying need states of a layered organization
• Excellent interpersonal/team skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
