As a Development Associate, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting Major Gift Officers through the strategic identification, qualification, cultivation, and solicitation of prospects across assigned regions and constituent groups. You'll be instrumental in building relationships that fuel groundbreaking research, enhance student experiences, and strengthen our vibrant alumni community.
Position Number: S78470
This position is a Grade: 8 - 40 with an approximate salary range of $43,940 - $52,740 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support for the identification, cultivation and solicitation of donors for university fundraising priorities
• The Development Associate plays a key role in creating a meaningful experience for both major gift donors as well as those considering their first significant gift to Lehigh.
• Assist in the cultivation of prospects by sharing appropriate and targeted Lehigh related new articles, Brown and White articles, opportunities for engagement, etc.
• Pipeline Management -Support college portfolio and pipeline with gift officers and front line gift officers, including periodic portfolio reviews, recording contacts, editing gift pipeline, etc
• Visit scheduling and preparation - Assist gift officer(s) in scheduling prospect visits. Includes developing prospect lists using a variety of sources, including ARGOS, statistical analysis, AlumniFinder, Linkedin, regional and industry publications.
• Work with coordinators, DAR Communications and gift officers to create a standard discovery packet and project packets (ie., college-specific, parents, athletics, etc.) to be updated periodically
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Three to five years of related work experience
• Valid Driver's License preferred
• Database management and basic programming
• Advanced spreadsheet functions and formulas
• Excellent written communication skills
• Project management experience
• Highly organized
