As Associate Director, Engagement Strategy, you'll enhance the alumni experience by developing and supporting programs for historically underrepresented communities, including BALANCE (Black and Latinx Network), LAPA (Lehigh Alumni Pride Association), and emerging groups like First Generation, Asian, and Jewish alumni networks.
Position Number: S98760
This position is a Grade: 9 - 40 with an approximate salary range of $55,200 - $67,180 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, coordinate, implement, and evaluate programs that engage underrepresented alumni populations
• Lead efforts to foster strong connections between Lehigh and alumni from historically underrepresented communities, while welcoming all alumni to participate in these initiatives
• Elevate the importance of alumni volunteer groups amongst all alumni engagement strategies
• Collaborate with Development and Alumni Relations (DAR) and university partners to identify and elevate alumni leaders for volunteer roles
• Maintain a structured, transparent, and welcoming volunteer board structure
• Design event strategies aligned with GO Beyond: The Campaign for Lehigh
• Participate in major campus and alumni events including Reunion Weekend, Grad Fair Days, Regional Events, LUAA meetings, and more
• Partner with the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs and alumni leaders to ensure inclusive and engaging strategies across the Greek community
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Three to five years of related work experience
• Experience in higher education, community activism, or non-profits preferred
• Prior experience working with diversity programs and community organizing preferred
• Experience building social media channels and adept use of digital communication preferred
• Ability to complete projects on time and on budget, and report on status and progress
