Are you passionate about helping others and creating positive experiences? Lehigh University seeks a dedicated Lending Services Assistant to serve as the welcoming face of our library community.

Position Number: S78590

This position is a Grade: 6 - 37.5 with an approximate salary range of $31,770 - $38,130 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide exceptional front-line customer service at the library circulation desk
• Assist students, faculty, and community members with library inquiries and needs
• Manage library materials including check-out, check-in, and inventory processes
• Maintain organized and welcoming library environment for all patrons
• Support daily circulation operations and administrative tasks
• Handle patron accounts, renewals, and overdue materials
• Collaborate with library staff to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or the equivalent combination of education and experience; Associates Degree in Library Sciences preferred
• 0-1 years of related work experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Proficiency with computer systems and willingness to learn library software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional demeanor and positive attitude
