The Slate Systems Manager will manage, configure, and continuously improve the Slate CRM environment in support of Undergraduate and Graduate Enrollment Management. Serve as a Slate generalist who partners across enrollment offices to translate operational needs into scalable, sustainable technical solutions. Lead and supervise staff supporting enrollment systems while taking ownership of complex and cross-functional initiatives, including secondary workflows, tangential and downstream processes, and other special projects. This position is housed within Enrollment Management Services (EMS) and reports to the Associate Director of Enrollment Management Services, under the direction of the Director of Enrollment Management Services. The role works collaboratively with EMS leadership, IT partners, and campus stakeholders to advance enrollment strategy, operational efficiency, and data integrity.

This position is a Grade: 10 - 40 with an approximate salary range of $66,270-$80,620 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.

Key Accountabilities:

• Serve as a primary administrator for Slate, responsible for configuration, maintenance, enhancement, and troubleshooting across Undergraduate and Graduate enrollment use cases.
• Build and maintain Slate objects including forms, fields, workflows, queries, rules, populations, reader configurations, decision logic, portals, communications, etc.
• Lead institution-wide and cross-functional projects that extend beyond core admissions workflows, including but not limited to Financial Aid related Slate workflows and integrations; secondary and downstream processes such as enrollment deposits, onboarding, holds, and post-admit workflows; cross-office initiatives requiring coordination between Undergraduate and Graduate enrollment teams.
• Identify, recommend, and implement technical solutions that improve efficiency, data quality, and user experience across enrollment processes.
• Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of Slate solutions for Enrollment Management Services and partner offices.
• Monitor new Slate features, releases, and best practices and evaluate impact and recommend adoption strategies.
• Ensure compliance with university security standards, data governance policies, and FERPA regulations.
• Partner with functional stakeholders to understand business processes and translate them into effective and scalable Slate workflows.
• Collaborate with other EMS systems staff to align on shared configuration standards, documentation, and reporting approaches.
• Act as a liaison with other enrollment-related offices across campus to support application maintenance, data accuracy, and seamless system integrations where processes intersect.
• Partner with Enterprise Systems and EMS colleagues to manage, monitor, and improve data integrations and synchronization.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, mentoring, training, and performance management for direct reports.
• Assign work, set priorities, and review deliverables to ensure quality, consistency, and alignment with enrollment goals.
• Support professional development and skill growth of team members, particularly in Slate and related systems.
• Represent Enrollment Management Services in technology related discussions, meetings, and project teams.
• Participate in professional development opportunities, including Slate community events and conferences, to stay current with evolving best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field
• Three to five years of related work experience
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with others from diverse backgrounds and functions to achieve shared goals
• Ability to travel to campus for routine, planned on-campus commitments
