Bus Driver - Join Lehigh University's Transportation Team

Lehigh University seeks a dedicated Bus Driver to join our Transportation Services department. In this full-time, nonexempt position, you'll play an essential role in safely transporting passengers across campus and to various destinations while maintaining our commitment to reliable, professional service.

About the Opportunity

As a Bus Driver at Lehigh University, you'll operate buses and vans to transport passengers over specified routes to local and distant points according to established time schedules. This position offers the opportunity to serve our campus community while working for one of Pennsylvania's premier research universities.

Position Number: S76860

This position is a Grade: 7 - 37.5 with an approximate salary range of $27,890-$33,480 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate university buses and vans on designated routes
  • Transport passengers to local and distant destinations following scheduled timetables
  • Maintain professional customer service standards with all passengers
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and university transportation policies
  • Maintain accurate records of routes, schedules, and vehicle maintenance needs

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Ged 
  • One to three years of experience
  • Experience driving passenger buses
  • CDL Class B with Air Brake endorsement is required
  • Excellent driving record

Special Considerations

  • This position has off part of May, June, July and the beginning of August. 
  • Normal shift is 1 pm - 9 pm but may change based on the needs of the department.
