Senior Assistant Director of Admissions, College of Health

Join Lehigh University's Admissions team as Senior Assistant Director specializing in the College of Health. This specialized role offers the opportunity to shape the future of healthcare education by recruiting exceptional undergraduate students to our innovative health programs.

About the Opportunity

You'll serve as the primary liaison between Admissions and the College of Health, managing comprehensive recruitment strategies for first-year and transfer students. This position focuses on building meaningful relationships with health and STEM-centered high schools while developing targeted outreach programs that attract top-tier candidates to our health sciences programs.

Position Number: S80031

This position is a Grade: 8 - 40 with an approximate salary range of $47,570-$57,090 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an annual, data-driven recruitment plan that aligns with institutional enrollment targets, including up to 8–10 weeks of targeted seasonal travel to high schools and college fairs.
  • Serve as the primary admissions liaison to the College of Health leadership and marketing teams, translating recruitment data and marketplace trends into actionable insights for paid ad campaigns and audience targeting.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong pipelines with prospective students, parents, guidance counselors, alumni, and community organizations through targeted on/off-campus events and coordinated electronic communications.
  • Manage the application process for the College of Health Scholars program and analyze enrollment metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of recruiting efforts and identify market opportunities.
  • Conduct comprehensive, rubric-based reviews of first-year, transfer, and international applications over a five-month peak period, consistently meeting weekly reading goals while evaluating diverse academic and non-academic variables.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of varied domestic and international high school grading systems and school profiles to accurately assess applicant strengths and potential for success within the College of Health.
  • Collaborate directly with the College of Health Dean and staff to master current and future academic offerings, effectively translating and promoting these opportunities to the broader admissions team and the public.
  • Own the implementation of targeted tactics designed to attract first-year and transfer students, while continuously analyzing the competitive health-education recruiting landscape to optimize appeal.
  • Demonstrate agility by contributing to a wide range of admissions initiatives, including open houses, "Officer of the Day" duties, weekend visitation, campus fly-in programs, and admitted student receptions.
  • Power departmental success by providing technical support, managing website content, coordinating campus visits for prospective students and counselors, and contributing to marketing/communications efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field 
  • Three to five years of related experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and responsive, with the ability to juggle competing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
