Lehigh University Athletics is looking for a skilled communications professional to join its award-recognized sports information team. If you bring sharp writing instincts, a head for statistics, and a genuine enthusiasm for collegiate sport, this is a role where your work will shape how Lehigh's student-athletes are seen by the world.

Position Number: S99350

This position is a Grade: 7 - 40 with an approximate salary range of $39,670 - $47,620 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.

What You'll Be Working On

Reporting to the Director of Sports Communications, you will serve as the primary media relations contact for an assigned portfolio of varsity sports across the Patriot League. Day-to-day, that means:

  • Write and distribute compelling press releases, post-game recaps, feature stories, and daily digital content
  • Assist in the daily management, content curation, and routine maintenance of the official athletics department website
  • Produce comprehensive game notes, statistics, and media materials to support live event coverage and press operations
  • Plan and execute creative social media campaigns and coordinate sports photography to drive fan engagement and brand visibility
  • Maintain strict adherence to all NCAA, conference league, and university regulatory and mandatory reporting requirements
  • Proactively identify, resolve, and manage public relations needs and media opportunities for teams and individual student-athletes
  • Champion strategies that highlight and celebrate student-athlete and staff achievements to elevate the institution's profile
  • Oversee the organization, maintenance, and archiving of historical data, team records, and legacy athletic materials

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • One to three years of related work experience
  • Demonstrated experience in collegiate sports information or athletic communications
  • Proficiency with statistical software used in collegiate athletics (StatCrew, Genius Sports, or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with Patriot League policies and NCAA media relations protocols is a genuine advantage at Lehigh
  • Comfort managing multiple sports simultaneously across a demanding competition calendar
