Position Number: S98150

This position is a Grade: 10 - 40 with an approximate salary range of $67,270-$81,830 and is subject to change based on experience, skills and qualifications.

Key Accountabilities

Reporting to the Head Coach, you'll play a hands-on role across every dimension of the wrestling program, including:

  • Delivering technically sound, athlete-centred coaching across practice, competition, and individual skill development
  • Identifying, evaluating, and recruiting prospective student-athletes who meet Lehigh's rigorous academic and competitive standards
  • Supporting student-athlete development through academic monitoring, personal mentorship, and transition programming
  • Providing academic support and early intervention to help student-athletes meet university eligibility and graduation requirements
  • Contributing to program advancement activities, including alumni engagement, community outreach, and donor relations
  • Assisting with day-to-day program administration including scheduling, travel coordination, and budget management
  • Ensuring all activities are conducted in full compliance with NCAA rules, Patriot League guidelines, and Lehigh University policies
  • Advancing the broader mission of the Athletics Department by modelling the values of integrity, accountability, and excellence

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field; Master's Degree preferred
  • One to three years of work related experience
  • Experience as a student athlete
  • NCAA Certification
  • CPR/First Aid Certification
  • A working knowledge of NCAA recruiting regulations and compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to build trust with student-athletes and support their academic as well as athletic progress
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills suited to a collaborative staff environment
