Job Title: Academic Marketing and Communications Assistant
Department: Marketing and Communications

Responsibilities:
  • Organize communication needs and requests throughout the QU School of Business.
  • Utilize the available tools and resources to prepare and distribute communication. This may include emails, newsletters invitations, social media posts, and print materials.
  • Become a contributing member of the school’s support staff on all communications efforts.
  • Review/develop content calendars.
  • Post on the QU School of Business social media channels as needed.
  • Provide weekly status updates on projects and new requests.
  • Partner with Senior Director of Marketing & Communications to identify and address content voids and opportunities.
  • Manage all distribution lists for the QU School of Business, requesting new contacts from deans team, faculty, staff, and alumni & development as needed.  
Qualifications: 
  • Current QU student
  • Federal Work Study is preferred
  • Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Experience working within multiple social media platforms
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good writing & editing skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to learn new software and tools
  •  
Hours of Position:
  • 10-15 hours per week
  • Position is located off-campus: 3071 Whitney Avenue, near Whitney Village shuttle stop.
