The Think by the Bay Campus Life Coordinator provides coordination and oversight of residential life supports and social and independent living skill development opportunities for students with intellectual disabilities (ID) participating in the Think by the Bay program at CSUEB. The Campus Life Coordinator provides lead work direction to student staff living in the dorms (Independent Living Coaches), collaborates with campus housing and disability support offices, and ensures students are equipped with the skills needed to live independently, access campus resources, and engage socially. Project Veterans Thrive (TRIO Grant) - Academic Success Advisor (Temporary)	East Bay	April 29, 2026
Project Veterans Thrive, a Student Support Services (SSS) Program, is funded through the TRIO division of the United States Department of Education. The SSS program is a five-year grant (2025-2030). Project Veterans Thrive provides undergraduate veteran students, and their dependents, non-mandated support services, including academic advising, career planning, subject specific tutoring, scholarship guidance, graduate school advising, personal wellness counseling, assistive technology training, academic and personal skills building workshops, financial aid support, and personal finance literacy. The intent of this program is to provide services to increase retention, student GPAs, and graduation rates of military-affiliated students. Project Veterans Thrive provides these enhanced academic support services to 120 students. The primary purpose of this position is to provide academic advising and personal wellness counseling to participating students. The Academic Success Advisor supports students in completing their post-secondary education by providing targeted advice related to class selection, the development of educational plans, and monitors the academic progress of students in the program. Furthermore, the Academic Success Advisor provides personal wellness counseling to support students in the development of non-cognitive skills including academic & realistic self-appraisal, growth mindset, locus of control, positive self-concept, motivation and long-term goal setting. This position will function as a team member of Project Veterans Thrive and will assist the Project Veterans Thrive Program Coordinator with carrying out the requirements of the grant.

Modeled after the original program founded at San Francisco State in 1967, Cal State East Bay’s Project Rebound (established in 2022) provides a supportive, accessible environment where justice-impacted students can apply, persist, and succeed in their academic, career, and leadership goals. Project Rebound Scholars contribute meaningfully to the campus community and engage in peer support, civic participation, and community leadership to strengthen families and communities. The Housing Coordinator for Project Rebound, working closely with the appropriate administrator, is responsible for the strategic oversight, development, and management of housing support services for Project Rebound scholars. These scholars include students living in campus housing, those receiving off-campus rental subsidies, and students residing in university-supported private residences or apartment complexes. The Housing Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that students have access to safe, stable, and supportive housing environments that promote academic success and persistence, personal well-being, and successful community reintegration. The Housing Coordinator, working closely with appropriate administrator(s), leads the design and implementation of housing programs, manages complex student needs with professionalism and cultural competence, and builds strong partnerships with campus housing departments, property managers, landlords, and community-based housing providers. Working independently, the Housing Coordinator administers housing resources across multiple funding streams, ensures compliance with grant requirements, and evaluates program effectiveness.

The Think by the Bay Career & Transition Coordinator independently leads the development and implementation of career exploration, employment readiness, and interagency transition planning services for students with intellectual disabilities (ID) enrolled in the Think by the Bay program at CSUEB. The Coordinator develops and expands on-campus and community-based employment partnerships, implements individualized and customized employment strategies, and represents the program in collaboration with external agencies including Local Education Agencies (LEAs), regional centers, and the Department of Rehabilitation. Working in partnership with families, faculty, and staff, the Coordinator ensures coordinated transition planning, alignment with IEP/IPP goals, and measurable employment outcomes that prepare students for meaningful postsecondary employment.

The EOP Advisor and Work Lead, under the general supervision of the Director of EOP, EXCEL, RSP, and Affinity Programs, provides leadership, coordination, and direct service delivery for Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) advising services. The position ensures the consistent, high-quality implementation of student-centered counseling practices that promote retention, academic achievement, and timely degree completion for low-income, first-generation, and historically underrepresented students.
