Confidential Campus Advocate East Bay
The Confidential Advocate provides confidential and privileged in-person crisis counseling, advice, assistance, case management services, accompaniment, advocacy, resource and referrals on behalf of survivors of sexual violence, sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking. Advocacy includes assistance in coordinating services with California State University, East Bay (CSUEB) resources and, when applicable, with local agencies on behalf of the individual including areas of Student Services, the local campus police department, coordination of legal advocacy, medical advocacy and other assistance/University services as needed. The incumbent will develop and maintain referral protocols for incidents of sexual violence, and provide trainings to the campus community about how to refer to both on and off campus resources. They develop and maintain a network of resources including emergency shelters, legal support, and mental health services for survivors. This individual will also provide training and consultation to staff and faculty members at the University, and work with campus administrators to create systems that are trauma-informed and survivor-centered. The incumbent will also develop and lead prevention, education and awareness programs related to sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking to the campus community with the goal of reducing these crimes. They will recruit and train student leaders to develop a peer advocate program for violence prevention on campus. Due to the nature of the work, additional or irregular hours such as early morning, evening hours, and weekends is required, as well as occasional evening hours and travel to CSUEB’s Concord campus.
Natural Sciences Hub Office Assistant East Bay
The Natural Sciences Hub Office Assistant will serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking service from the departmental office, whether by walk-in, real-time telephone inquiry, telephone messaging system inquiry, email inquiry, or departmental webpage inquiry. A decision in each case will be made on the fly to optimize service to the person making the inquiry. This may involve direct action by this position, Natural Sciences Hub Analyst or Office Manager, referral to the appropriate department chair or a faculty member or teaching associate, or referral to another university office. When not directly involved with inquiries as described above, the individual will help with any tasks surrounding student assistance and course delivery and help with overflow work as needed by the Natural Sciences Hub Analyst and Office Manager. It should be carefully noted that this will require significant multi-tasking, working these regular, recurring tasks with inquiries.
Athletic Communications Coordinator (Temporary) East Bay
This role supports CSU East Bay Intercollegiate Athletics by handling sports information, media relations, and event support. The coordinator assists with game day operations (scorekeeping, stats, press row management, supervising student workers), maintains records and historical data, produces press releases and web content, and manages athletic media, including video production, photography, and digital content. They also help organize departmental events like the Student-Athlete Awards Ceremony and Hall of Fame.
Academic Administrative Coordinator East Bay
California State University East Bay's Graduate School of Education is seeking an Administrative Support Coordinator, Level II to provide administrative and clerical support to the departments of Educational Leadership, Educational Psychology, and Teacher Education, which serve approximately 750 students across master’s, doctoral degree and credential programs. This position works closely with the Education department Chairs to support the departments’ programs and students. Duties fall under four categories: clerical support; workload/class schedules; contract, faculty appointments, and payroll; and scholarships. The successful candidate must exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills and critical thinking; advanced knowledge of Excel; and the ability to master various software and data systems used by the University. Essential skills in this high-activity environment include the ability to multi-task; problem solve; organize tasks and projects for maximum efficiency while ensuring accuracy; and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in addition to initiating ownership of projects and tasks as needed. Duties and responsibilities are in support of the day-to-day operations of the Education departments. Executive Assistant Faculty Affairs East Bay
The Executive Assistant, Faculty Affairs deals with sensitive faculty information regarding hiring, evaluation, and other matters. Maintains databases of faculty information; updates faculty regarding necessary processes throughout the year; interfaces with the Provost and the Office of the President on faculty matters.
Graduate Admissions Counselor - SSP II East Bay
The Office of Admissions at Cal State East Bay is looking for a detail-oriented, dedicated, and collaborative professional to join our fun and cohesive team of Graduate Admissions Counselors. Under the general supervision of the Director of Admission and supervising Associate/Assistant Directors, the Admissions Counselors coordinate the processing, evaluation, and advising of applicants for assigned groups. Counselors must follow a wide and complex range of relevant policies when making final admissions decisions. The position is also responsible for advising on Admission requirements, policies, and procedures to various audiences including prospective students/applicants, high school/community college counselors, faculty, and staff. Working with other Cal State East Bay offices, Admissions Counselors also participate in the campus-wide effort to recruit prospective students as well as support the transition of admitted applicants to enrolled.
Solutions Engineer East Bay
This position is a technical and functional resource responsible for designing, implementing, administering, and supporting application software and other solutions to support faculty, staff, and the University’s student success initiatives. Under the direction of ITS Director, the incumbent will be responsible for new solutions design and development, analyzing and understanding the campus data and technology needs, maintaining the data integrity and implementing system enhancements. This position is focused on supporting the Salesforce ecosystem, including but not limited to CRM, Marketing Cloud, etc.
Coaching Assistant -12 Month (Temporary through June 30, 2026 with the possibility of reappointment) East Bay
This position will help foster a team culture that is focused and driven to succeed academically and athletically, while servicing the community. Assist in the planning and implementation of practice, competitions, travel, equipment, paperwork and any other administrative duties set forth by the Head Coach. EXCEL, a U.S. Department of Education Student Support Services Program, is a federal grant that provides low-income, first-generation college and disabled undergraduates with supportive academic services including academic advising, career and goal planning, multi-subject tutoring, scholarship guidance, graduate school advising, personal counseling and guidance on determining learning style and balancing academic and personal responsibilities.  This position provides these services to a caseload of EXCEL students. The EXCEL Academic Enrichment Counselor, under general supervision, plays a key role in driving student retention of EXCEL students through independent counseling and advisement, in individual and group settings with an emphasis on serving undergraduate students. The EXCEL Counselor resolves complex and/or sensitive problems for students that affect their ability to be successful in their educational and career pursuits and make appropriate referrals to campus services and other resources. This position is expected to develop solutions to individual student problems, including problems of considerable difficulty where alternative solutions are not readily available or where guidelines and precedents do not exist or are not applicable.
Director of EXCEL East Bay
EXCEL, a U.S. Department of Education Student Support Services Program, is a federal grant that provides low income, first generation college and disabled undergraduates with supportive academic services including academic advising, career and goal planning, multi-subject tutoring, scholarship guidance, graduate school advising, personal counseling and guidance on determining learning style and balancing academic and personal responsibilities. Under the general supervision of the Director of EOP, RSP and SEAS Affinity Programs, the Director of EXCEL assumes administrative responsibility for the EXCEL program. The Director is primarily responsible for all facets of design, implementation, administration, strategic planning and evaluation of the program services in compliance with federal and state legislation and regulations. The Director will coordinate the daily operations and related support services; oversee grants documentation, tracking and reporting; apply for renewal of funding; develop, implement and evaluate program goals and performance objectives; analyze, manage and track budget expenditures and balances, and prepare budget reports.
Computer Science and Engineering Hub Office Manager East Bay
This position provides administrative coordination and support for the Computer Science and Engineering Hub. Key responsibilities include preparing travel claims; hiring student assistants and graders; monitoring and approving student hours in PeopleSoft; managing purchasing activities; assisting with class scheduling; assigning computer and engineering labs; administering department scholarships; and coordinating special events. SLHS Online/Hybrid Clinic Coordinator (Temporary) East Bay
The Clinical Coordinator role includes responsibilities in clinical education and leadership, recordkeeping and communication, student advising, including overseeing clinical practicum placements for all students in the newly established online/hybrid Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program. The Clinical Coordinator will be primarily responsible for individualized placement of students into educational and healthcare practicum rotations and will work collaboratively with other program leadership and faculty to ensure high quality clinical education is provided throughout the curriculum. This is a temporary, part time, 20 hours per week position.

EXCEL, a U.S. Department of Education Student Support Services Program, is a federal grant that provides low-income, first-generation college and disabled undergraduates with supportive academic services including academic advising, career and goal planning, multi-subject tutoring, scholarship guidance, graduate school advising, personal counseling and guidance on determining learning style and balancing academic and personal responsibilities. This position provides these services to a caseload of EXCEL students. Under the general supervision of the Director of Affinity Programs, EXCEL and SEAS Engagement Initiatives, the EXCEL Academic Enrichment Counselor assists with student services work characterized by student advising and guidance in individual and group settings with an emphasis on undergraduate students. The incumbent assists students to resolve any problem(s) that affects their ability to be successful in their educational and career pursuits and make appropriate referrals to campus. This is a grant-funded, full-time temporary three-year maximum position. The duration of the appointment cannot exceed three years from the date of hire.
EOP Counselor East Bay
The Education Opportunity Program (EOP) Counselor , under general supervision, is assigned a caseload of EOP students and assists in the retention of EOP students through counseling and advisement, workshops, classes, referrals, and other forms of interventions. This position will also assist students in pursuing their educational and career goals through various steps such as career assessments, graduate school research, connecting with faculty advisors, and career services, etc. The advisor autonomously addresses and resolves student issues with evidence-based strategies and maintains student records to ensure they meet Title 5, CSU, and University degree requirements. They assist with academic petitions, guide degree progression, and work collaboratively with academic departments, the registrar, and other campus offices to tackle a variety of student challenges. Additionally, this role involves active participation in the development and execution of policies and strategic planning in the advising sphere, all aimed at promoting the success, persistence, and timely graduation of students within their specific college or department. This position is a team member of the College of Science’s (CSCI) Student Service Center and will work closely with the coordinator of the CSCI student service center in training new colleagues (SSP advisors), facilitating transfer orientation, and facilitating group advising/workshops, and supporting new freshman and transfer students and may visit first-year classes for such purposes. Advising at the Concord Center or representation at events held at other institutions may at times be required.

Head Athletic Trainer East Bay
Under the general supervision of the Director of Athletics, the Head Athletic Trainer is responsible for the development, organization, and administration of the sports medicine program, including providing work direction to other athletic trainers, including assigning, monitoring and evaluating work; developing and monitoring the program budget, and maintaining and monitoring the medical records and progress of all student athletes. When injuries do occur, the Head Athletic Trainer serves as a first responder by recognizing and evaluating the injuries, and subsequently developing treatment and rehabilitation programs, incorporating the appropriate therapeutic modalities and use of rehabilitation and exercise equipment. Due to the nature of the work, the individual must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, as well as, be available to travel with teams.
