| The Coordinator oversees the SCAA’s Peer Academic Coaching (PAC) Program – a high impact program that offers peer-led activities. The PAC Coordinator hires, trains, and provides lead work direction to Peer Academic Coaches. The Coordinator is responsible for designing curriculum that develops student leader competencies in mentorship, communication, student success skills, and the understanding of ethical and developmental concerns necessary to successfully engage in coaching. This position may also consider current trends in advising and coaching programming while working closely with faculty, students, and advisors across campus to identify the specific needs of the Cal State East Bay community. Additionally, the Coordinator supports faculty partners and makes the program’s work visible to the community by assessing its effectiveness on an ongoing basis. This position will serve in a trainee capacity that is not to exceed 12 months. The Counselor in Housing works with on campus residents, and the Counselor in SEAS works with SEAS program participants.
Embedded Counselors design and implement outreach programs and interventions, and serve as liaisons to their specific departments. The counselors contribute to the overall training of campus staff through workshops and mentorship, and may also provide individual and group supervision to pre-licensed MFT, MSW, and PCC interns. |

Assignments typically vary in duration from one day to three months but may last as long as six months, and are generally between 20 and 40 hours per week.
