Associate Counselor (Pool)

| Associate Counselors, under the supervision of the Director of Counseling and their clinical supervisor, provide intake assessments, crisis intervention, and short-term individual and couples counseling to students of the University. They work collaboratively with counseling and medical staff to help students maintain optimum mental and physical health. The Associate Counselor may also provide group counseling and outreach presentations to the campus community in partnership with licensed clinical staff. Case Management Coordinator

| Reporting to the Director of Counseling Services, the Case Management Coordinator serves as a primary resource for students of concern on campus. The position provides case management services to students with complex mental and physical health problems, academic and social challenges, difficulty navigating campus systems, and safety concerns who are reported to the Student Care Team. Case management services include but are not limited to providing assessment, intervention, advocacy, resources and referrals, and follow-up services. The position coordinates student services and provides referrals to the appropriate resources on campus such as Student Health and Counseling Services, Accessibility Services, Student Conduct, Rights and Responsibilities, Office of the Registrar, Financial Aid, and off-campus community agencies. The Case Management Coordinator works with Student Wellbeing to respond to emergency assistance requests and disburse emergency funding. The position also works with University Housing and Residence Life to place students in on-campus Emergency Housing, and coordinates case management and transition planning to longer term placements. |

Patient Support Services Lead

| Under the general direction of the Student Health Services Director, the Patient Support Services Lead (Registered Nurse III) is responsible for the operation and oversight of Patient Support Services. This includes but is not limited to front office duties of reception, patient intake and medical records, back office clinical support duties and clinical laboratory functions. This position also provides some skilled nursing services and performs Public Health activities for both the Hayward and Concord campus communities. This position may require occasional coverage at Cal State East Bay’s Concord campus. |

Academic Advising Trainee - 4 Positions (Temporary)

| This Academic Advising position is a trainee position under the Student Services Professional (SSP) IA classification, an entry-level classification in the SSP series. This position will serve in a trainee capacity that is not to exceed 12 months. Upon successful completion of training and satisfactory performance under the SSP IA classification, this position may, at the discretion of the appropriate administrator and based on university needs, evolve to the next classification level – SSP IB and be expected to perform similar duties with greater independence and under more limited supervision. Permanent status cannot be earned in a trainee position. This Student Services Professional IA trainee position is a temporary, grant-funded, full-time position with the possibility of reappointment for a maximum of one year from the date of hire. |

| The Office of Admissions at Cal State East Bay is looking for a detail-oriented, dedicated, and collaborative professional to join our fun and cohesive team of Graduate Admissions Counselors. Under the general supervision of the Director of Admission and supervising Associate/Assistant Directors, the Admissions Counselors coordinate the processing, evaluation, and advising of applicants for assigned groups. Counselors must follow a wide and complex range of relevant policies when making final admissions decisions. The position is also responsible for advising on Admission requirements, policies, and procedures to various audiences including prospective students/applicants, high school/community college counselors, faculty, and staff. Working with other Cal State East Bay offices, Admissions Counselors also participate in the campus-wide effort to recruit prospective students as well as support the transition of admitted applicants to enrolled. |

Embedded Counselor Faculty

| Working under the supervision of the Director of Counseling, Embedded Counselors provide intake assessment, crisis intervention, and short-term individual, and couples, and group counseling to currently enrolled students. The Counselor in Housing works with on campus residents, and the Counselor in SEAS works with SEAS program participants.
Embedded Counselors design and implement outreach programs and interventions, and serve as liaisons to their specific departments. The counselors contribute to the overall training of campus staff through workshops and mentorship, and may also provide individual and group supervision to pre-licensed MFT, MSW, and PCC interns. |
