Overview: The Clinical Supervisor provides culturally sensitive, trauma informed clinical and administrative support t licensed and unlicensed clinical staff and volunteers. Ensures sound clinical direction and coordination of mental health, case management and advocacy services with the agencies child maltreatment, domestic violence and sexual assault programs.

 

Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties as assigned): Under the supervision of the Clinical Program Manager provides: Clinical Supervision individual and group clinical supervision to clinical staff and volunteers. Ensures treatment interventions are consistent with the agencies policies and procedures, the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) and the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) Code of Law and Ethics; Ensures Trauma Informed and Empowerment practices are at the forefront of all clinical decisions. Oversees the clinical and technical accuracy of client records, other case management documentation and data management systems.  Reads and reviews all assessments, progress notes, treatment plans and other case documentation, providing direct feedback and guidance.  Ensures all treatment modalities provided are congruent with interview, assessment, history, presenting issue and holistic case presentation.  Tracks and adjusts treatment modalities in collaboration with counselor.  Provides professional development to counselors through review of live supervision, oversight of counselor performance in accordance with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy counselor competencies, documenting professional development in performance reviews and or student professional development field-site evaluations.  Ensures that supervisees are adhering to agency policy and protocols, monitoring data collection and participating in quarterly assurance review.  Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members and participates in case presentation.  Creates data driven reports to examine service delivery to ensure interventions are efficacious.  Monitors staff and volunteer productivity, providing administration with continuous feedback promoting the adherence to program expectations. Interfaces with representatives from graduate schools, local community partners and contract representatives to maintain agency’s positive profile in the community.  Delivers training and in-services presentations, receives training on evidence based/informed practices. Participates on rotating 24-7 Supervision on call roster.

 

Qualifications: Must have a minimum of five years-experience in chronic complex trauma, poly-victimization, crisis intervention, child maltreatment, domestic violence and or sexual abuse.  Have knowledge of evidence based/informed practices: TFCBT, CPT, Nurturing Parenting and Seeking Safety. Experience working with multi-disciplinary service delivery teams for the purpose of case consultation and presentation. Must possess a Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in MFT, Social Work, Clinical Psychology, and a current CA LMFT or LCSW license. Must meet CA BBS requirements to provide clinical supervision to graduate students and individuals obtaining hours toward CA licensure in MFT and/or Clinical Social Work. Supervisory experience required.

As a Supervisor treats staff and volunteers within the parameters of Strength United’s policies and procedures, demonstrating professional leadership skills.  Has the capacity to maintain positive communication with others. Knowledge and respect of all confidentiality issues.  Is Self-motivated, dependable, highly organized, multi-tasking with a proactive approach to work. Is conversant in the intersection between social justice and mental health.  Is capable of working independently and within a team environment. Has a demonstrated history of exercising good judgment in performance of duties and responsibilities.  Must show a passion and sensitivity for trauma work.  Must

demonstrate an acceptance and respect for cultural diversity in all its forms, including ethnicity, sexual orientation, abilities, and religious backgrounds and an ability to work collaboratively in an ethnically linguistically, and culturally diverse environment.  Bilingual Spanish Speaking

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

Work is performed in an office setting with a low-to-moderate noise level; employee will need to utilize their personal vehicle for travel to and from meetings outside the office; employee must regularly communicate by telephone, written communications and in-person with staff, families served, partners, funders and other professionals; occasionally lift, carry and position objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule

This position is employed through The University Corporation (TUC).

The anticipated hiring range: $75,000 - $88,000/year

Full Pay range: $75,000 - $88,000/year

Time Base: Full-Time
