Position Summary:

The Graduate Admissions Counselor is responsible for recruiting, advising, and guiding prospective graduate students through the admissions process. This individual serves as a primary point of contact for applicants and is committed to delivering exceptional service while meeting enrollment goals for graduate programs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Advise prospective students on admission requirements, application procedures, and program offerings.
- Drive inquiries and started applicants to complete the process.
- Review and evaluate applications for admission and make recommendations based on established criteria. Collaborate with program directors on borderline applicants.
- Maintain communication with prospective students via phone, email, text, and virtual platforms.
- Collaborate with academic departments to ensure a seamless admissions process.
- Track applicant progress and update CRM/database systems regularly.
- Assist with the planning and execution of on-campus and virtual recruitment events.
- Support admitted students through the enrollment process, including orientation and registration.
- Represent the institution at graduate fairs, college visits, and community events.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 1 year of experience in admissions, higher education, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Slate, Salesforce).
- Willingness to travel and work evenings or weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

- Master’s degree preferred.
- 2-3 years experience in graduate admissions or student services.
- Experience supporting adult learners, online/hybrid programs, or international student populations.
- Familiarity with international admissions processes.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Passion for higher education and student success.
