Position Summary:           

The Housekeeping Supervisor at the Beren Campus is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day housekeeping operations which include the cleaning of academic facilities, labs, offices, cafeterias, and dormitories. The individual also ensures building appeal/curbside appeal, sidewalks are in order, and snow removal. Also included are managing all set-ups required for academic and event activities on the campus and coordinating projects with the other departments.

The schedule is: Mon.- Thurs. 2pm-10pm, Sun - 10am-6:00pm

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supervise night shift Housekeeping staff to ensure that all areas of the Beren Campus are properly cleaned and maintained.
  • Ensuring that any set-ups needing to be made for morning programming is done,
  • Assigning staff tasks
  • Respond to campus facility emergencies at all times
  • Discipline employees in coordination with Human Resources as required
  • Other related duties, as assigned

Experience & Educational Background:

  • Associate’s Degree and/or 3-5 years of experience working in a diverse housekeeping environment
  • Knowledge of general union guidelines and operating procedures
  • Experience in higher education is preferred.
