Position Summary:
|
The Senior Mailroom Operator performs a variety of duties associated with the operations and general maintenance of high-volume mail room and bulk mail services at Wilf, Beren, and Brookdale to include problem-solving related to job specification, workflow, and deadlines. Perform or assist with scheduling, deliveries, and pickups from Wilf to Beren, Brookdale, and Ferkauf, and the return deliveries and pickups, quality control, job entering, and job tracking duties.
Reports to the Director of Print Production.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Thursday 9 am - 5:30 pm; Friday 9 am - 2:30 pm

Position Responsibilities:
|
- Analyze, process, and follow up on the workflow of the mail rooms by determining the best method for incoming/outgoing USPS mail, intercampus mail, and overnight couriers
- Ensures the completion of jobs, monitors supplies
- Meet with clients and representatives of USPS, FedEx, UPS, and other vendors to clarify instructions, resolve complaints and negotiate schedules, and advise on cost-effective methods consistent with the highest quality
- Coordinate all mail pickup and delivery, ensure outgoing mail and bulk mail are processed, and incoming mail is distributed appropriately
- In consultation with the Director of Print Production, coordinate all mailing requests, assign work to staff and student workers
- Coordinates the daily shuttle to Beren and Cardozo from the Wilf campus
- Enter all packages into the tracking system
- Operate bulk mail process to include folding, inserting, labeling, and operations of various mail equipment, and mail list management
- Maintain billing records and file management system of completed jobs, reviewing completed work for accuracy and quality; perform routine maintenance on machines. Maintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion
- Perform Mail Clerk and Messenger duties as required
- Perform other related duties as assigned
