A Technician B position is available in the Nectow Laboratory at Columbia University in New York City. The Nectow Lab is comprised of scientists and engineers from diverse backgrounds exploring how the brain regulates energy balance. In general, we study the mechanisms through which the brain regulates how much food one eats and how much energy one expends. We also develop novel technologies to better understand brain function. We are currently looking for someone who will work with other lab members to help design and implement experiments critical to the lab, including molecular cloning, animal work, in vivo calcium imaging, and/or functional manipulations of neural circuits (e.g. optogenetics, chemogenetics). |

In this role, the variable hours officer will oversee all aspects of production—planning, coordinating, writing, editing, reviewing, and finalizing content; provide project management, art direction, creative management, and supervision of freelance contributors; and work on and/or coordinate related projects as needed. |
