A permanent full time position commencing 27 January 2026. The successful applicant will be required to teach HSIE subjects with a possible opportunity as an Assistant HSIE Middle Leader 1. 

The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential. 

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
  • Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
  • Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in HSIE specialising in Society and Culture or Senior History.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
  • Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the wider College community.

DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Ability to teach various HSIE subjects up to Stage 6. 
  • Ability to teach Religious Education. 

GENERAL CAPABILITIES

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organisational skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Appropriate qualifications for teaching a variety of courses across the HSIE Faculty.
  • Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment  with CEDoW.
  • The applicant must be accredited to teach with NESA.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE

This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
