St Francis Catholic College, Edmondson Park is located near the junction of the M5 and M7 motorways. It is a rapidly growing K-12 school with a student population exceeding 1500 students in 2025. The college is one school, not a traditional primary school and high school coexisting on the same site. As such, the College is organised into Junior Years Learning (K-4), Middle Years Learning (5-8), and Senior Years Learning (9-12). St Francis was founded in 2017 and offers new, state-of-the-art learning & specialist KLA facilities.
A unique opportunity is being offered to suitably qualified teachers to be part of a program in the systemic Catholic schools of the Diocese of Wollongong with a fixed term, full-time or part-time contract of employment for the 2026 school year.
The successful applicants will be a flexible classroom practitioners with some proven success as a casual teacher. This employment opportunity is aimed at providing both the students and the successful applicant with continuity and alignment with the particular educational direction of one school over a block of time while providing a ready supply of casual relief.
The role of the classroom teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning so that students may reach their full potential.
ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA
- Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
- Create and maintain an orderly, safe, and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.
- Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
- Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in KLA(s).
- Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
- Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers, and the wider school community.
DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA
- Willingness and flexibility to teach classes from Kindergarten to Year 12
- Ability to teach Religious Education.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Appropriate qualifications for teaching nominated Key Learning Area (s).
- Level B Accreditation in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.

CONDITIONS
- The applicant must be registered to teach with NESA.
- This role is classified as child-related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
- The applicant must have undertaken a minimum of 40 days casual employment in a Catholic School(s).
